Keep Your Phone on the latest Update
It might sound silly, but you'd be amazed how many times I've seen a phone on outdated software. Or, an owner simply hasn't accepted an update yet for an array of different reasons.
If you're interested in the update to Android 8.0 Oreo and all of its features, you'll want to accept the latest updates from Huawei. Make sure your phone is as up-to-date as possible. This way you're getting the best performance possible, and you'll save time once Oreo is ready for your specific device.
Security patches and occasional bug fixing updates arrive pretty often, but it's still pretty easy to fall behind. Especially if you're worried about an update causing problems. We're expecting Oreo to deliver a slew of fixes, improvements, and new features, so it's worth it.
Head to settings > about phone > check for updates > and make sure you have the latest software. It's just a smart move.
