iOS 11.2.5 Features & Fixes: 4 Reasons to Get Excited & 2 Not

Messages in Cloud Still MIA

Messages in Cloud Still MIA

Apple stripped Messages in Cloud from the iOS 11 beta in early August and the feature still hasn't returned. The company could certainly tack it onto the final iOS 11.2.5 release, but we'd feel more confident if it appeared in the iOS 11.2.5 beta.

For those of you who don't remember, Messages in Cloud was included in iOS 11 beta up until the release of iOS 11.1 beta 5. The feature vanished in the fifth beta and Apple's promised to deliver it in a future iOS 11 update.

The company hasn't given iOS users a specific timeline so it's unclear when it will be added back into the operating system.

Messages in iCloud will be a huge addition for a lot of people because it allows iMessages to be stored in the cloud.

Messages can take up a ton of room on internal storage so this will allow users to quickly, and easily, free up storage space. It also allows users to save messages that might get deleted otherwise.

Fingers crossed, but if you've been waiting for this feature, iOS 11.2.5 could disappoint.

Nothing to get excited about. Still haven’t made the music app useful again. Photo app is all messed up also.
