iOS 12.3: 4 Reasons to Get Excited & 3 Reasons Not To
Apple TV App Upgrades | ||||||||
The iOS 12.2 update was loaded up with new features and enhancements. The iOS 12.3 is more modest, but it still comes with some exciting changes. Among them, upgrades to Apple's TV application. iOS 12.3 and Apple's upcoming tvOS 12.3 update bring a new look and some new features to the popular TV app. The UI changes include sections for kids content, movies, TV shows, sports, and kids content. You'll also notice a new bottom bar for library, search, and Watch Now. The app still has the "Watch Now" and "Up Next" sections you're accustomed to, but the company's included a brand new learning-based recommendation engine that suggests content you might like based on your preferences and viewing history. Apple's also included a new "Channels" feature in the TV app. Channels are subscription-based services you can sign up for and watch in the TV app without having to open another application. Channels that will be supported at launch include CBS All Access, Comedy Central Now, EPIX, HBO, History Channel Vault, Nickelodeon, Mubi, Showtime, Smithsonian, Starz, and Tastemade. If you're a heavy Apple TV user, you should be excited about the changes on board iOS 12.3. | ||||||||
