Milestone Upgrades Bring Annoying Issues

iOS 12.3 will probably fix a bunch of issues, but large milestone updates have a tendency to introduce new issues. And in some cases, those issues are widespread.

It's impossible to predict what kinds of bugs and performance issues iOS 12.3 will bring with it. We probably won't see device-breaking issues, but some iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users will run into minor bugs and performance problems.

Every time Apple releases a new software update we hear about battery woes, connectivity problems, Enterprise and Exchange problems, issues with first and third-party apps, UI lag, reboots, installation problems, and more. It's the nature of the beast.

If you're having a great experience on iOS 12.2 or an older version of iOS 12, you might want to take your time with iOS 12.3 and stay put for a few days while you collect feedback about iOS 12.3's performance.

Bugs and performance issues can appear at anytime, but the big game-changing bugs typically reveal themselves soon after the release.
