Make sure you get familiar with iOS 12.4 ahead of time. This way you aren't caught off guard by the update's changes. So if you're moving to iOS 12.4 from iOS 11.3, you'll get the features and fixes from iOS 11.3.1, iOS 11.4, iOS 11.4.1, iOS 12.0, iOS 12.0.1, iOS 12.1, iOS 12.1.1, iOS 12.1.2, iOS 12.1.3, iOS 12.1.4, iOS 12.2, iOS 12.3, and iOS 12.3.2/iOS 12.3.1 in your iOS 12.4 update. You'll want to get familiar with the changes from those updates so you aren't caught off guard when you install iOS 12.4 on your phone or tablet.
