Of course, if you aren't thrilled with the changes to the loot system, Gearbox gives you the option to change the game back to the loot settings from previous games. 

If you'd prefer to fight with your friends and randoms over loot drops, you can seamlessly go back to the classic co-op mode. 

We assume there are some people who love fighting over loot so if you happen to fall into that group, you should be happy to know this option is available.
