Inside EA there are individuals working to make Madden 18 easier to play with new accessibility features. We won't see these in the game on day one, but they are coming in the first Madden 18 update that will be along soon after launch.
We now have rumble and audio for the kick meter and a rumble to let players know which type of play suggested plays are. Karen Stevens of EA shares that, "This means the blind should be able to kick the ball with no issue and know how well they kicked the ball. It also allows the blind to use suggested plays and know if a run or kick play was selected, when the ball is snapped." Stevens blindfolded resters to see if they could play like this and they were able to win a game of Madden 18 blindfolded. Stevens added, "I was also able to get touchdowns using only rumble - my TV was totally off." |
