There is a new watchOS 6.2.8 update that includes support for digital car keys on your watch and new support for heart health features in select countries as well a security and bug fixes. There are some great reasons to install the watchOS 6.2.8 update on your watch today, but there are also important reasons not to install it yet.

Apple ties this update into a new iOS 13.6 update. This is a moderate update for most users who’ve been using watchOS 6 for months. If you are upgrading from watchOS 5, this is a major update, but for users on watchOS 6.2 or higher this is a small update.

The watchOS 6 update is big, so you need to plan on spending a decent amount of time on downloading and installing the update. If you are already watchOS 6 or watchOS 6.2.5, the watchOS 6.2.8 update is smaller and installs faster.
