Wait If You Aren't Prepared

Wait If You Aren't Prepared

Don't pre-order a Galaxy S9 if you aren't prepared to pre-order a Galaxy S9.

If you aren't sure what kind of effect buying the Galaxy S9 will have on your data plan or your bank account, hold off until you're one thousand percent sure.

Before you commit to the Galaxy S9 you'll want to research the Galaxy S9's colors and their differences, Galaxy S9 competitors, carrier data plans and changes you might've missed over the last year or two, rival carriers, and network speeds and coverage in your area.

You'll also want to take a look at cheaper Galaxy S9 alternatives like the Galaxy S7 (getting upgraded to Android Oreo), the iPhone 7 (if you aren't married to Android), and older Android devices like the Pixel and Pixel XL.

You'll also want to make a plan for your current device. Make sure you check in with re-sellers like Gazelle and sites like eBay and Craigslist. Carriers are also taking trade-ins that could knock $200+ off the cost of the Galaxy S9.

If you don't need the extra cash, you should look into donating the device. If you'd rather keep it in-house, get in touch with friends and family and see if someone needs a new device.

You probably won't be able to get this done in an hour. Some of you might get it done in a few days, it might take some of you a few weeks. You won't know until you start.

Don't put in a Galaxy S9 pre-order unless you're confident. Otherwise, you might end up dealing with a major headache.
