Yes, Samsung finally did it! 

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ feature dual stereo speakers tuned by AKG, owned by Harmon Kardon. Located on the top of the phone (inside the earpiece) and on the bottom, are two powerful speakers that work together to create stunning sound. Samsung said these are the best speakers in any Galaxy to date, and possibly any phone period. 

That's a bold claim, and we're excited to finally see this rumor become a reality. 

The Galaxy S9 series uses a new Dolby Atmos technology for phones and reportedly get around 1.4x louder than the Galaxy S8. And there are two of them, with one facing forward for an overall better sound and movie experience.
