While you might be tempted to install the Android 10 update right when it arrives for your Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Note 10+, there are some steps you should take before you move your phone to the new operating system and One UI 2.0.

The Galaxy Note 10 Android 10 beta has ended and Samsung is rolling out a stable version of the update to beta participants and those running on Android Pie.

The Note 10 Android 10/One UI 2.0 update is currently rolling out in an assortment of countries including France, Germany, India, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States where Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon have released the software.

The roll out is still fairly limited, but we expect it to pickup speed as we push into the new year. If you own a Galaxy Note 10 in the United States, be on the lookout for a release in the near future.

Make Sure Your Data is Backed Up

Data loss issues are fairly uncommon, but it's still important to make sure all of your data is backed up before tapping download on Android 10.

There are a few ways to ensure that your data is properly backed up.

You can use Samsung's Smart Switch application or you can use the company's Samsung Cloud solution to backup your data automatically. You can also use Samsung Cloud to manually backup the data you store on your Note 10.

To access Samsung Cloud, head into your device's Settings and head into Accounts and backup . If you don't have a Samsung account you'll need to create one in order to use the company's cloud services.

You can also use third-party apps to backup your data. Super Backup & Restore is still one of our favorites, but there are plenty of others on the Google Play Store.
