Road to Battlefield 5

DICE recently shutdown the Battlefield 1 CTE for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but it's still available to those on Windows PC. With the CTE still active Battlefield 1 players can expect additional bug fixes and content to emerge there in the weeks ahead.

The developer recently rolled out a fairly substantial May patch and monthly updates will continue on the road to Battlefield 5.

Speaking of the Road to Battlefield 5, EA's recently made new announcements

The Road to Battlefield 5 is live and it's going to include giveaways, missions, and a whole lot more for Battlefield 1 players.

The latest giveaway is the In the Name of the Tsar DLC for Battlefield 1. Anyone can download it, for free, from now until May 29th, 2018. Those looking to play this DLC do need the base game to take advantage of the offer.

If you're still playing Battlefield 1 you’ll find a new menu when logging into the game. The menu features a list of daily tasks that go toward earning various rewards. According to EA, the "available rewards unlock weekly and can be earned during that particular time period."

If you still own Battlefield 4, you can snag Battlefield 4 Final Stand for free until May 29th.

Keep an eye out for more news in and around May 29th as we push toward the official Battlefield 5 announcements.

Exciting that the game is almost out now! Might not be a bad deal to sign up for that EA thing for a month just to get early access for an extra week. Though I don’t like the idea that that means they are basically charging $10 or whatever for early access. Even if it is indirect. Anyway, anybody have recommendations on the best deal for a video card for Battlefield 5? Does the GTX 1060 card around $200 listed here: https://daydull.com/gaming/battlefield-v-graphics-card-recommendations-benchmarks-the-best-gpu-deals-for-bf5/ look like a good deal? During beta it was pretty choppy so I need to upgrade. Supposedly I should be able to get a solid framerate with max settings with that, right?
