Wait If You Aren't Prepared to Buy

If you aren't prepared to buy a new iPad right now you'll want hold off on a pre-order.

There are a few things you should do before you commit to an iPad Air 3 pre-order.

First, you'll want to decide between the 10.5-inch iPad Air 3 and Apple's other tablets. Again, you should go hands-on if you aren't positive about the size you need.

You'll also want to decide if you need cellular data with your next iPad. You'll want to examine your habits and think about how you might use the iPad Air 3 in the future.

Most of you should be fine with a cheaper Wi-Fi only model, but some of you might want to spend more on the cellular-enabled version.

We also recommend researching iPad Air competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. There are some solid Android-powered competitors out there and most of them are much cheaper than the iPad Air.

Doing your research could take you a day or two but for a lot of you it's going to take a few weeks or even longer.

If you're feeling uneasy about putting in a pre-order this week, you might want to hold back. Otherwise, you might end up with buyer's remorse.
