Install for Home Screen & Quick Panel Upgrades

Samsung's Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo beta also comes with some nice improvements to the home screen and Quick Panel.

From the home screen, you can now touch and hold an app to display common or recommended shortcuts to tasks within the app.

For instance, the YouTube app's shortcuts allow you to quickly view Trending Videos, manage your subscriptions, or Search for new videos.

If you've used an iPhone, it's like iOS' 3D Touch. The app must support this feature for it to work.

In Android 8.0 Oreo, Notification badges on app icons and the Notification panel are now synced up. So if you clear a notification in one location it will also clear in the other location.

As for the Quick Panel, you'll get a couple of upgrades. You can now manage Notifications for each of your apps with notification categories. This only works with apps that support this feature.

You'll also notice icons at the bottom of the Notification panel for Notifications that aren't visible.

support team Hi. I’m Adina from Iran. I have a Samsung mobile phone that has a Galaxy S6 model. When I bought Android, I was upgrading to the 5 lollipop, which was gradually upgraded to 6 and 7. I plan to update 7.1.1 or Android O, but I’m sorry to say that Samsung’s representative in Iran does not provide good support. I also contacted your representative in the United States, but they tell me that our information is limited to American phones. I wanted to know if you might be using ota on Android 7.1.1 Or send me the Android 8? I’d love to have this version of Android on my phone. Give me some guidance. Thank you samsung galaxy s6
