If you're currently traveling for business or pleasure it might be a good idea to hold off on the Android 8.1 update until you're back at home. Android 8.1 has the potential to break the applications and services on your Nexus 5X. It also has the potential to destroy your Nexus 5X's performance in any number of areas. Battery life, connectivity, GPS, etc. This isn't an issue when you're at home, but this could be extremely problematic if you're relying on your phone to complete a business deal or to get your family around a bran new city. The last thing you want to be doing on a trip is spending time troubleshooting Android 8.1 or downgrading to an older version of Android. If you're traveling away from your comfort zone and all of your backups, it's a good idea to wait on Android 8.1. | |||||||||
