Most Galaxy S8 users use Samsung Pay for mobile payments, but some still rely on Google's Pay platform. If you're still using Google Pay, you'll want to avoid the beta. 

If your bank doesn't support Samsung Pay yet you might be using Google Pay to make mobile payments with your Galaxy S8. If that's the case, you'll want to stay put on Android Oreo.

The Android Pie/One UI breaks Google Pay. This isn't surprising, but it's something to keep in mind before you download the beta on your phone. 

This isn't a temporary thing. Google Pay will never work with the beta. That said, Samsung Pay works fine.
