Samsung's version of Android Pie comes with a useful floating keyboard.
If you used a Galaxy phone running Android KitKat you might remember that the operating system had floating keyboard. For whatever reason, Samsung decided to kill the feature in newer versions of Android. Fortunately, the company has brought it back in Android Pie and those of you who sometimes struggle with the size of the Galaxy S8's display might like it. The floating keyboard allows you to move the stock keyboard around the screen in an effort to find a sweet spot for two-handed typing.
If you've got small hands or if typing on your Galaxy S8 sometimes feels awkward, download the Android Pie beta and enable the floating keyboard. It works with most apps. |
