The iOS 11.1 update looks like it will deliver some interesting tweaks to iOS 11. These don't have the widespread appeal that the emojis have, but some iPhone and iPad users might find them to be useful. Developers and beta testers unearthed some interesting tweaks. Many of them are small, but the tweaks should provide some additional polish and functionality. If everything holds up in testing, iOS 11.1 will deliver grouped emoji typing suggestions, a new lock screen camera animation, an updated unlock animation, an update to the animation you see when you tap the status bar to go to top of page, new Assistive Touch custom actions, updated tab bar icons in iBooks, and a few other tweaks. The video below from the folks at 9to5Mac will give you a feel for some of the tweaks on board the iOS 11.1 beta. Everything is subject to change in beta so there's no telling if these features will make it into the final version of iOS 11.1. | ||||||||||
