If the holidays can be tight and you don't think you'll have $500+ in disposable income come November, think about holding off on a pre-order.
We don't expect Microsoft and its retail partners to offer many Xbox One X deals ahead of launch in November. If you want it in November you'll almost certainly have to shell out $500+ for the console and any accessories/games you might want or need. If that's too expensive for your blood, wait for Microsoft and its retail partners to drop the price of the Xbox One. You'll probably have to wait until 2018 for retailers to budge but that shouldn't be a problem if you're A) on a budget and/or B) not in a hurry.
