If you pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare you will be able to play early -- or at least on October 24th on disk or digital. 

The digital editions are available to pre-load, which means you can download and install the game right now, and it will go live when the release happens later today.

This is a huge game that tops 120GB on our Xbox One, so plan on a lengthy download. You can get ahead of this by pre-loading.  

Best Buy confirms that you can go into any Best Buy store on October 24th right before closing at 9 PM and pick up your Modern Warfare copy on disk. We expect that GameStop will do something similar. 

This translates into a 6 PM Pacific release time on disk and digital for many users. We saw this on several releases in 2018, and it makes sense for this trend to continue with Modern Warfare.
