There's a very good chance the next iPad Air is powered by 5G.

When Apple launched the iPhone 12 series, Apple finally joined the 5G world. So it should come as no surprise to learn that the company has brought 5G support on the iPad line. 

Apple's new iPad Pro models feature 5G connectivity, so does the iPad mini 6. And now that 5G is officially on board the iPad, we should see other iPad models gain access as well. 

According to Japanese blog Mac Otakara, the new iPad Air 5 will indeed have 5G connectivity on board. A report from 9to5Mac backs this up.
