If you're on a budget, you may not want to wait for the iPad Air 5. 

The iPad Air 4 isn't as expensive as Apple's iPad Pro, but it's far more expensive than the company's budget iPad and iPad mini. 

Currently, the iPad Air 4 starts at $599 for the 64GB Wi-Fi model, but it can go up to $879 if you want the 256GB variant with cellular data.

Again, you can find some deals, but even with a price cut you're still looking at paying more than $500 for a new iPad Air 4. 

We expect the iPad Air 5 to slot in at the same price point as the iPad Air 4. So if you aren't prepared to spend that kind of money on a tablet, start looking at alternatives.
