Make Sure You're Backed Up

Before you install the latest Android 8.1 build you'll want to make sure all of your important files are backed up properly. You probably won't lose anything during the transition from Android 8.0 to Android 8.1 or the previous security build to the latest one, but there's always a chance something goes wrong. 

This could take you some time depending on your setup but you’ll first want to ensure that Auto Backup is turned on for all of your important data.
