If this is not a personal Mac, or if you use it for work, you should talk to IT before you install macOS Catalina. This will allow you to get feedback from the professionals in your organization.
For work computers, this is likely mandatory and you may not even see the update until they want you to, but if you bring your own laptop to work, it is still a great idea. This ties into the app and hardware compatibility issues mentioned already, but it is worth a separate call out. While it is sometimes better to ask forgiveness than permission, this is not one of those cases. |
