With an Amazon Echo, forget syncing podcasts to your smartphone. Have Alexa play them instead.

When you’re ready to listen to your favorite show, say, “Alexa, play” and the name of the podcast. She will use iHeartRadio or TuneIn to find the podcast and play the latest episode. Once she’s done, she will move on to the previous episode.

Pair this command with multi-room audio and you can hear the podcast everywhere in your house that has an Echo. TuneIn podcast playback doesn’t sync your progress between devices.
