Send Messages with Alexa

If you prefer texting someone to calling someone, confirm your phone number with the Alexa app and tell Alexa who you would like to message. Say “send a message” to get started. When you hear a chime, tell it “Play my messages.”

Alexa will route SMS messages through your Android smartphone if you have the Alexa app installed there. You can’t do this with an iPhone.
