Place Phone Calls to Landline Phones

Don’t get your smartphone off its charger to place a phone call, use your Amazon Echo instead.

If the person is already in your phonebook and you have your contacts synced, Alexa knows who they are and what their phone number is. If you haven’t set these features up yet, skip that and just ask Alexa to dial the phone number you’d like to call beginning with the area code.

Your Echo will use its built-in microphone and speaker for the call. Alexa can’t hand the call off to your smartphone, unfortunately.
