App Draining Battery Alert

App Draining Battery Alert

One thing we quickly noticed in Android 8.1 Oreo is the system recognizing when an app or resource is wasting way too much battery. We've seen similar features on Samsung devices, and now it's baked right into stock Android for everyone to enjoy.

If an app is using way too much battery on your Android phone or tablet, the system will notice and alert you. It even explains WHY it's using so much battery, so you know how to fix the problem.

As you can see in our image above, this app is requesting location data too much, and causing abnormal battery drain. This is great for daily maintenance, but will also help owners find problems before it's too late, as Android displays a notification when this does happen. This is one more small but very meaningful change.

I’ve noticed that after upgrading to 8.0,my music now stops completely when I make or receive calls. The play icon disappears from the pull down bar and I have to open the play music app to resume play.
