If you constantly dismiss notifications from a certain app or program and don't interact with that notification, Android 9 notices.
After you dismiss the same notification a few times, the software will put a red "stop" button on it and ask you if you'd like to stop getting them, because you always dismiss it anyway. Basically realizing something you don't interact with keeps happening, and intelligently tries to get rid of it. Basically, Android 9 learns from your usage about certain notifications and stop showing you the ones that aren't important. That's pretty neat. At the same time, I'm getting sick of trying to swipe away a notification only to get this "do you want to stop getting this" popup. It prevents you from swiping the notification away until you decide. |
