Surface Pro 6
If you want a Surface Pro 7, but it's just out of your price range, the best alternative is likely the Surface Pro 6.
You get the same form factor, display, keyboard and kickstand and it starts at just $699. You still need to buy the Type Cover and Surface Pen, but it's a more affordable option. You can even get it with Surface All Access to spread the payments out.
The biggest thing you'll miss is a USB C port for charging and connectivity. You get better battery life, but you're using an older processor. There are some trade-offs, but it's still a nice option.
Check out the bundles and savings that let you get the Surface Pro 6 with a Type Cover for $799.
