If you've ever used F.lux, Night Shift on the iPhone, or the night time function on a Pixel or Pixel XL (and even if you haven't), you should be excited about this potential Galaxy Note 5 Nougat feature. 

Again, we don't know exactly what's coming with Samsung's Note 5 Nougat update but if the Galaxy S6 is getting a feature there's a good chance the Galaxy Note 5's getting it as well. And the Galaxy S6 is getting a blue light filter, a feature that arrived on board the Galaxy S7 Nougat update. 

F.lux, Night Shift and the feature on board the Pixel and Pixel XL are designed to lessen the strain on your eyes when staring at your screen during the night. The blue light filter that comes with Samsung's Nougat update has a similar effect. 

With this feature active, your display will show warmer colors at night which could help you get a better night's sleep. 

The nice thing is that you can set a timer so that the feature automatically deploys whenever you start getting ready for bed.
