We touched on this in the last slide, but feel it needs more attention. Samsung and Google make arguably the best smartphone cameras on the planet. With maybe Apple being right in the mix. Meaning both of these phones have great cameras.
A huge part of this is Samsung going with two cameras on the back of the Galaxy Note 8, similar to the iPhone 7 Plus or LG G6. It features two new and improved 12 Dual Pixel sensors with lots of features. One is a regular camera like the Galaxy S8 and takes great photos. The other is a f/2.4 aperture zoom lens with 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. Additionally, both cameras have optical image stabilization. A first for any dual camera phone. Google, however, isn't far behind even with a single camera. The 12.2 Megapixel camera in the Pixel 2 scored extremely high in independent testing. This year they added portrait mode that can match or beat Samsung, but with a single lens. It uses a dual pixel technology an machine learning. Then, this year it has OIS and EIS, a fast focus, 4k video and more. We're very excited to try the Pixel 2 camera once orders ship. Either way, if photography is important these are two phones to heavily contemplate.
