No more rumors, the screen will officially be 5.8-inches and 6.2-inches. Both are bigger than the Galaxy S7 and Edge. However, the devices physically are only marginally bigger. Here are photos with size comparisons. These are 2560 x 1440 (or higher) Quad-HD S AMOLED screens that will be called "Infinity Displays". Early rumors suggested a 4k display, but that's completely overkill and Samsung knows it. We could see a regular Galaxy Note 8 and a Galaxy Note 4K later this year, but that's doubtful. From what we're hearing and seeing both models are curved. No more flat Galaxy S phones guys. There will be new and improved Edge features, which can be turned off, and better always-on display modes and options to take advantage of these screens. It may look and feel odd at first, but you'll quickly get used to the curve. Trust me. | |||||||||||
