Wait If You Want a Big Display
Rumors state Google is working on two stunning smartphones which are the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. Codenames for these phones are Taimen and Walleye.
Wait for the Google Pixel XL 2 if you want a huge display. That's because the latest news believes the bigger of the two phones, Taimen, will have a 5.99 or 6-inch Quad-HD AMOLED display. With small black bezels around the screen, you'll enjoy a huge display in a device the size of the original Pixel XL, or smaller. Basically, the same screen as the new LG V30.
So far all signs point to Google following Samsung and LG's footsteps and offering a phone with an edge-to-edge display. Meaning the bezels on the sides are gone, then the top and bottom are very thin. As a result, we get tons of screen real-estate without the phone being physically large. Our image above is a rather accurate image based off of trusted information. Keep in mind that while the front glass looks curved, which is it slightly, the screen is flat. Not curved like Samsung devices.
We're hearing LG will manufacture the big phone, while Google puts HTC in charge of making the smaller Pixel 2. Which, by the way, will have a 5-inch screen based on our findings. Sadly the smaller regular Pixel 2 won't have small bezels. It could look nearly identical to the original Pixel, only with front-facing dual stereo speakers.
You'll probably want to hold out and get the bigger Pixel XL 2.
