Apple's Track Record with iOS 11 Updates

Every time Apple releases a new iOS update it seems to break something. iOS 11.3 should deliver a nice list of bug fixes and security patches, but there's a good chance it'll cause problems for many iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users.

Apple's iOS 11 updates have been problematic. From annoying bugs to security flaws to literal phone-breaking issues, the software's caused more problems than usual. So many problems, in fact, that Apple's reportedly delaying some iOS 12 features to focus on reliability and performance.

The iOS 11.3 update is going through beta testing, but so did iOS 11.1, iOS 11.2, and other smaller iOS 11 releases that brought an uncharacteristic amount of issues to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users around the world.

iOS 11.3 beta testers have already discovered a fairly lengthy list of issues. We expect Apple to resolve many of these problems ahead of the official release, but the company's ambitious milestone upgrades almost always bring a collection of frustrating issues.

We don't expect iOS 11.3 to be any different.
