Don't Expect New Emoji in iOS 11 Beta 1

We expect iOS 11 to, at some point, bring new emoji characters to the iOS keyboard. Just don't expect the emoji to emerge in the first iOS 11 beta. 

A new batch of emoji characters is on the way but they probably won't be ready in time for the first iOS 11 beta.

The next emoji are scheduled for release in June 2017 but they probably won't be released for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch in June. 

Instead, we'd expect the new emojis to arrive much later. Either in a future iOS 11 beta or in an official version of iOS 11. 

Last year, it was the iOS 10.2 update that brought Unicode 9.0 support to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
