If charging an iPhone without wires sounds appealing to you, you might want to hold out for the iPhone 8.

Nothing is confirmed but rumors suggest the iPhone 8 could be the first iPhone to come with wireless charging. 

In fact, Apple supplier Wistron accidentally confirmed wireless charging for at least one upcoming iPhone model. 

While it might not be the long-range wireless charging some people were hoping for, the iPhone 8 could come induction charging with support for Qi or Airfuel.

Qi wireless charging requires the device to be charged on a pad while Airfuel requires a device to be in close proximity to a charger.
