The 16-inch MacBook Pro was originally expected in October, but that didn't happen. If it lands in 2019, expect it near the Mac Pro announcement. Apple already announced the Mac Pro and recently gained FCC approval, but we still don't have the release date. We expect to see Apple share Mac Pro order information soon, and that is the last realistic time for a MacBook Pro 16 announcement in 2019. The inclusion of an icon and render in macOS Catalina 10.15.1 as well as reports that Apple is taking possession of 16-inch MacBook Pro models this year. While we continue to hear news of the 2020 MacBook Pro models, it still looks very likely that Apple is almost ready to show off a new MacBook Pro with a 16-inch display this year. Wait for Apple to make the Mac Pro announcement before you buy a new Mac if you can hold on. | ||||||||

Thanks for this info! My older MacBook Pro was stolen last week. I’m working on a borrowed computer for now, calculating whether I can and should hold out for a new 16″. Hoping it’s available soon! Seems worth it for me.
