Samsung continues to roll out Android 7.1.1 Nougat updates which means we continue to get questions from Android 7.0 Nougat users. At this point, if your device is running Android 7.0 Nougat, and you're eligible for an upgrade to Oreo, you can expect your device to remain on Android 7.0 Nougat. The devices getting upgraded to Android 7.1.1 were previously running Android Marshmallow, not Android Nougat. Most of the changes from the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update are baked into Samsung’s version of Android 7.0. If you're currently using an older device that's eligible to receive an upgrade to Nougat, there's a good chance you'll get Android 7.1.1 down the road. If you're currently using a device like the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S7, your next major version change will probably be to Android 8.0. | |||||||||
