10 Things to Do Before Installing Samsung Galaxy Nougat
Samsung continues to roll out new Android 7.0 Nougat builds which means Galaxy S8, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab owners (and owners of other Galaxy-branded devices) should start preparing for new software. A little prep work could go a long way toward preventing Nougat problems.
The Android Nougat update is moving out to the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab S2, and a few other Galaxy devices. The company is also pushing brand new Nougat builds to its flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
These Android Nougat updates are based on Android 7.0 (Samsung might be planning Android 7.1 upgrades but nothing is confirmed) and they deliver new features, bug fixes, performance enhancements, and an array of problems including severe battery drain.
Android Nougat and Nougat bug fix updates are expected to hit more devices throughout the year so now would be a good time to start taking some steps to prepare yourself, and your device, for what’s next.
It’s impossible to predict what Nougat problems you and your device will encounter after installing Android Nougat or an Android bug fix update. That’s why you’ll want to prepare before you make the jump to a new piece of Nougat firmware.
