Death Alternative

Death Alternative is a different take on how you die in Skyrim.

When you die in the vanilla version of the game, you typically reload your last save and go from there. Death Alternative tries to do away with that and here's how. 

If you die with this mod active, you'll go into a bleedout state once you reach zero health. When you reach this stage, your character will fall to the ground unable to do anything. If you don't take a ton of damage in this state, you'll rise up in a weak state. If you do take enough damage, you'll go unconscious.

From there, an enemy might steal some of your items (they can be recovered). You also might wake up and a fellow adventurer will be there to help you get back on your feet. 

It's a cool alternative to the normal death sequence and it's a mod that we and many others have enjoyed in the PC version of the game.
