Since being released back in March the hit game Clash Royale has changed a lot. Multiple Clash Royale updates have added new features, additional troops, a Challenge mode and more. The December update was important, but there are other changes we still want to see. Including a potential way to “end” or finish Clash Royale.
The developers at Supercell, who also made Clash of Clans, have been listening to user feedback. Constantly checking what works and what doesn’t, and making lots of adjustments. The December update balanced things, made Elite Barbarians way too strong, and added a few new troops. More is coming in January.
While the developers are still working hard to perfect the game with new additions, game balancing adjustments and new troops, it could be even better. Obviously many of the popular troops in Clash of Clans are also in Clash Royale, but we could be seeing one more in the near future, not to mention other exciting things. Below are changes that need to come to Clash Royale.
We’ve seen at least one major update each month since the release date, except for in August. The entire company took a vacation in July, which is why. Over the last little while they’ve fixed the broken aspects of the game, got rid of cheaters, and added a lot of additional content.
Tournaments are now completely different, and harder than ever before to join. However, they’ve been replaced by Challenges. A classic challenge for 10 gems, or a Grand Challenge for 100 Gems. Win 12 for the grand prize, or lose three and you’re out. It’s a great way to level up cards.
Decembers’s balance changes took everyone for a spin. We now see more variety than ever before, which is nice. Although Balloons are too strong, and Elite Barbarians are out of control. Supercell still needs to fix the Lightning and Rocket, as they deal too much damage to towers. Many battles end in players spamming Lightning 3-4 times until they win. That isn’t skill. It needs to be fixed.
When it comes to playing Clash Royale it’s all about strategy. Players get the same amount of Elixir to buy troops to attack their enemy, and it’s all about being strategic, fast to react, and keeping track of your Elixir. In the end the goal is to have a good trade-off and out maneuver your opponent and take down a tower or two for the win.
There are multiple ways to win and countless different decks that can be extremely deadly, but we want even more choices. Everyone plays different, and each player has unique strengths and weaknesses, as do certain troops, which what makes the game fun. That said, there are still some changes that the majority of players think need to happen, and new troops that could add a lot of excitement to the game. Not everyone will agree with what’s detailed below, but for the most part they’d be a welcomed edition to Clash Royale. I’d go as far as to say these changes need to happen.
Our slideshow below goes over a few awesome changes, new troops, or features we’d like to see come in the next Clash Royale update. These aren’t confirmed or even rumored, but are what we want to see next. Players asked for Legendary cards to be more attainable, and Legendary chests helped. The situation could still be better, though. Here are the changes we want to see.
The thought of healing spells or the Healer from Clash of Clans was in this list for a while, but Supercell ruled it out.
However, the next thing we keep seeing comments on are Heros. The Barbarian King and Archer Queen from Clash of Clans. Obviously something that powerful can't come to Clash Royale, but they could arrive in a different form.
Legendary cards are readily available from chests or the shop, and now we need something else to shake up the gameplay near the top. And while I don't think heros are the answer, it makes a lot of sense that we could see something like this in the future. There are a lot of new cards coming in January and February, but none are heros.
Adding two or four new "mystical" cards or Heros that can turn the battle in your favor. Maybe for those above 4000 trophies. Who knows. It could easily make things extremely unbalanced, but the developers are good at keeping things on an even keel. Well, most of the time.
Would you be open to the idea of a new class of cards above Legendary? Or just something to radically change how the game is played for high level players. Let us know.
