Don't Install Nougat If You're Traveling

If you are getting ready for a trip or you're in the midst of a trip for business or pleasure, we highly recommend holding off on the Android Nougat update until you're back at your base of operations. 

Over the year's we've spoken to people who decided to update their phone while traveling. And while some of these people came away unscathed, others were left with busted battery life, broken connectivity, and/or buggy apps. Some even bricked their phone. 

The last thing you want to be dealing with on an important business trip or the trip of a lifetime is a busted smartphone. Having a functioning phone is important, particularly if you're on an adventure or if you need your device for meetings and business calls. 

Our advice is to wait until you're back home. Or, if you like taking risks, back at the hotel. There's no reason to jeopardize your trip for Nougat.

It can wait.
