If your device has been struggling with bugs and/or performance issues on iOS 16.0.1, iOS 16.0, or iOS 15, think about giving iOS 16.0.2 a shot.

Again, iOS 16.0.2 fixes several annoying issues with the the initial versions of iOS 16. Here's the full list of bug fixes on board:

  • Fixes an issue where the camera may vibrate and cause blurry photos when shooting with some third-party apps on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
  • Fixes an issue where the display may appear completely black during device setup.
  • Fixes an issue where copy and paste between apps may cause a permission prompt to appear more than expected.
  • Fixes an issue where VoiceOver may be unavailable after rebooting.
  • Fixes an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone X, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11 displays after being serviced.

New versions of iOS also can fix unlisted issues. iOS 16.0.2 could fix performance issues like severe battery drain, busted Wi-Fi connectivity, UI lag, Bluetooth problems, random reboots, lockups and freezes, and various issues with first-party applications.

If you own a new iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, or iPhone 14 Pro Max, note that Apple's iOS 16.0.1 update also had bug fixes on board. They included:

  • Fix for an an issue with activation and migration during set up of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro
  • Fix for an issue where Photos may appear soft when zooming in landscape orientation on iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • Fix for an issue where Enterprise single sign-on apps may fail to authenticate

If you skipped an iOS 15 update, you will get the bug fixes from any updates you skipped with your version of iOS 16.0.2. Again, the fixes from the update(s) you skipped are baked into your upgrade.
