Wait for Even Better Performance

Wait for Even Better Performance

Samsung always makes year-to-year upgrades to the Galaxy Tab's internals and we expect the new model to come with an assortment of performance upgrades.

The Galaxy Tab S7 utilizes Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865+ chip and you can expect the Galaxy Tab S8 to come with an updated chip.

We haven't seen any concrete rumors yet, but early speculation points to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor. We could also see the company bump up the amount of RAM.

The leak out of Korea suggests the three Galaxy Tab S8 models will come with the “fastest next-gen” processor. It doesn't call the chip out by name.

We've also heard some Galaxy Tab S8 models could sport Samsung’s incoming AMD-powered Exynos 2200 processor.

A newer processor could help improve critical features like battery life, overall speed, multitasking, and gaming.

According to leaker Ice Universe, the Tab S8+ will have a 10090 mAh battery while the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will have a 11500 mAh battery. These of course are subject to change.

The two lower-end models will supposedly come with 8GB of RAM while the higher-end "Ultra" model will have 8GB/12GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Tab S8 series probably won't have all of the camera upgrades Samsung brought to the Galaxy S21 series earlier this year, but don't be surprised if there are changes, particularly in the software department.

The leak from Korea claims the Galaxy Tab S8 camera setup will look like this:

  • Low-End Model: Front 8MP, Rear 13/5MP(Dual) + Flash
  • Mid-Range Model: Front 8MP, Rear 13/5MP(Dual) + Flash
  • High-End Model: Front 8MP + 5MP(Ultra Wide), Rear 13/5MP(Dual) + Flash

So if you want a ton of horsepower, but aren't interested in Apple's iPad Pros or Microsoft's Surface Pro, think about waiting for the Galaxy Tab S8.

i think it depends on user experience and preference. Some people will like the design and features of the S8, however, for me, I don’t like apps running jigsaw puzzle in the background in the Android operating system very much.
