Wait for Potential Design Upgrades
There's a chance the Apple Watch 7 looks different than its predecessors.
Back in September of last year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said a "significant form factor design change" could come to the Apple Watch as soon as 2021.
Kuo is a reliable source and that's what makes this rumor interesting. Unfortunately he didn't, and still hasn't, gone into detail about these potential changes.
He says 2021 is the earliest we see these changes so there's also a chance the Apple Watch 7 series looks similar to the Apple Watch 6 and previous models.
A report from Bloomberg states that Apple's "tested thinner display borders and a new lamination technique that brings the display closer to the front cover." The device might be thicker than previous models, but the publication claims it won't be noticeable.
According to leaker Jon Prosser, the Apple Watch 7 will come with a flat-edged design that's similar to the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro and a brand new green color.
That said, if you aren't in love with the current design or would just love to see something different, consider waiting.
