Fallout 4 Tips to Level Up Faster

Craft Gear

In Fallout 3, you were able to upgrade your gear but only to a certain extent. In Fallout 4, you have a mind-boggling number of weapon customization options. You can also upgrade your Power Armor if you possess the right materials.

Crafting, as tedious as it might seem, can give you tons of experience. So make sure you use those workshops, those armor workbenches, those chemistry stations, those cooking stations, those Power Armor stations, and those weapon workbenches to craft items with the loot and junk that you find in the wasteland. Put your inventory to use.

There's also another obvious benefit to crafting. If you modify your weapons, you'll do more damage and kill enemies quicker. That means more XP. If you modify your armor, you won't die as quick in combat. And that means more time to acquire XP.

We highly recommend picking a weapon that suits your play style as early as possible so that you can level up your perks appropriately.

And always remember to equip gear that gives you XP bonuses before you turn in quests. If you forget, revert back to a save.
