Part of this is better AI that enables Player Positioning. This will make your team mates even more aware of space and should drive them to be open more to make plays easier to get started. One of our major FIFA 17 complaints is that team mates failed to make runs or create space often enough. 

FIFA 18 adds Real Player Motion Technology that delivers new animations and movements to match the players you are actually controlling. You'll notice this with Cristiano Ronaldo and other top players. 

You can also set up substitutions before the game to take place later in the game without the need to remember or to pause the game.
