There are two ways you can play FIFA 20 early this year. You can play up to five days early with EA Access or Origin Access, and you can play a day early with the physical edition when you buy from Best Buy and pickup in-store a day before the FIFA 20 release date.
With these options, you can play FIFA 20 as early as September 19th with the Play First Trial and you can pick up the physical copy at Best Buy on the 24th for the Champions Edition or on the 26th for the base edition.
This is what you need to know about the new FIFA 20 features and a guide on the many FIFA 20 editions. You can also check out the best FIFA 20 deals and read up on whether or not you should pre-order FIFA 20 or wait.
FIFA 20 Early Access Release Date and Time
The FIFA 20 Early Access release date is likely September 19th, five days before the special editions go live.
Typically the game arrives around 1 PM Eastern or 4 PM Eastern. We’ve seen this fluctuate and with Madden 20 we even saw access start a day early.
How to Get FIFA 20 Early
If you don’t want to use EA Access or Origin Access, you can pick up your copy of FIFA 20 early at Best Buy. The store announced that you can come in the day before the FIFA 20 release date near closing and get your copy of FIFA 20.
This is only at Best Buy and only for these two editions. You can’t come in in the morning or afternoon. Best Buy specifically says to come in just before 9 PM local time.
How to Download the FIFA 20 Trial
The best way to download the FIFA 20 trial is to open the EA Access Hub on Xbox One or PS4, or Origin on PC.
From there, look for the Game Trials, where you should be able to start the download.
You can also go to the game store and if the trial is live and you are signed up, you should see a Try Now option listed.
You need EA Access on Xbox One or PS4 or Origin Access/Origin Access Premier on the PC. This is the first year for EA Access on the PS4. You can buy this for a month for $5.99 or you can get a year for $29.99. You can pick up a subscription on Amazon, with a PSN or Xbox Gift card or directly on your console.
FIFA 20 Trial Limit
The FIFA 20f Early Access trial is limited to 10 hours of playtime. This is a hard limit and you should quit the game when you are done playing or the trial may continue running in the background.
If you accidentally run out of time, you will have issues getting it back, especially in time for early access.
While some people will create multiple accounts and buy multiple EA Access memberships to play more than 10 hours, it’s not practical and you’re better off just going with the 10 hours.
FIFA 20 Trial Content
The FIFA 20 Early Access Trial or Play First Trial is traditionally a full version of the game. Any progress you make in the trial will carry over to the full release a few days later.
This means you can get started on your FUT team, but you won’t have you FIFA 20 pre-order bonuses at this time.
