Madden 17 Ball Carrier Upgrades

When you take control and run the ball in Madden 17, you can add modifiers to the special moves to take your running to the next level.

There are the standard special moves that happen when you press the special move button without any other button, but you can also take it to another level by adding; speed, precision or steering the move.

The standard moves are, spin, stiff arm, dive, hurdle, juke, back juke and truck. Each of these carries a normal risk for stamina, fumble and injury. A regular special move can fake out up to two defenders at the same time.

You can add a speed modifier to the move to pull off a quick short move without changing your path a lot. If you let off the speed, you can pull off a bigger move, but you have to time it right. A speed special move can only fakeout one defender.

If you press LT or L2 when you perform a move you will be able to use a precision modifier. We've seen similar options in Madden 16, but now you will be able to fakeout multiple defenders at once These offer a huge opportunity for success, but also carry the biggest risk of a fumble, injury or stamina depletion.

There are also steerable modifiers and utility moves. You have to hold down both L2 and R2 or LT and RT to pull these off, as well as push the button that initiates the special move.
